Dr. Wright received her bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Conservation and Biology from the University of Massachusetts. She then received her Master’s degree in Conservation Medicine from Tufts Cummings Veterinary School and then her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois. Following graduation, she completed a rotating internship at Ocean State. She loved it so much that she stayed on as an ER doctor. Dr. Wright splits her time between OSVS and BSVES. She has a special interest in toxicology, exotic animal medicine, and infectious disease.

In her free time, Dr. Wright enjoys doing anything outdoors (hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing) with her fiancé and their two dogs, Remy the Catahoula and Mila the Aussie. Her cats, Nina and Syrax, have even been known to take a kayak ride or two! She also has an array of reptiles.
