BOARD CERTIFIED—EMERGENCY/CRITICAL CARE
Dr. Marisa Stone grew up in New York City and obtained her bachelor’s degree from NYU with a double major in Biology and Spanish Literature. She then went on to complete her veterinary training at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2016. She worked as an ER doctor in Baltimore for 2 years before completing an internship in Emergency & Critical Care at the Pet+ER in Towson, Maryland. She then went on to complete her residency in Emergency & Critical Care at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists. She received her board certification and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care in 2023.
Dr. Stone’s professional interests include sepsis, immune-mediated diseases, and electrolyte disorders. Outside of the ICU, Dr. Stone enjoys weightlifting, hiking, barre, and yoga. She also loves spending time with her two dogs named Zero and Peanut, and two grey cats named Frogger and Baloo.
